ABOUT EMMANUEL BASSEY
I am a self taught visual effects artist with over 9 years experience in compositing, lighting, look development, dynamics, effects simulation and on-set supervision with a specific focus on helping local independent productions craft quality and engaging visuals.
Emmanuel Bassey is a visual effects artist from Nigeria who likes pushing boundaries. His works as a compositor and his insatiable thirst for digital entertainment has easily earned him a high-ranking position in the industry. His latest works with Nollywood in creating stunning visuals and pushing the established boundaries of VFX in the industry is sublime. -CGAfrica
I supervised the visual effects work on three feature films, three short films and contribued to a host of other productions like commercials and music videos through which I have gathered extensive experience with After Effects, Nuke, Maya, Premiere Pro, Cinema4d, Mari, Fumefx, Arnold, ZBrush, Redshift3d, OctaneRender, Unity3d, Unreal Engine and other digital content creation tools. Over the years I’ve gained unique insight into the difficulties that accompany digital production in developing countries and I’ve formulated workarounds to help circumvent what would otherwise be expensive and complicated processes to achieve visual fidelity.
I have developed good ‘cross-over’ skillsets from other industry sectors as a result of many collaborations and enthusiasm for emerging media technologies and trends. I have also had a good degree of success creating 3D visualizations and animations for property developers, architects, set designers and product designers.
I also designed and developed a mobile game called Pro Table Soccer for commercial consumption under my company embr.io
